eThekwini Municipality recently purchased several hundred hectares of prime land, with the assistance of the Housing Development Agency, (HDA), who under the direction of newly appointed CEO Taffy Adler, will assist government in achieving its target of eradicating slums by 2014 and fastrack housing delivery.
Tongaat Hulett Developments, the land and property management operation of Tongaat Hulett, is both excited and optimistic about the development and the co-operative relationship established with the eThekwini Municipality, and believes that through the partnership, both parties are able to face the housing challenge head-on as well as keep the vision of creating “integrated sustainable human settlements” alive.
